ADF ARRTS Program (1.48 mins)

The ground breaking Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills (ARRTS) program is aimed at ADF personnel experiencing health and well-being issue. The first program with eighteen participants from the three services was conducted in May 2015 over a four week period and held at the University of Canberra. The four week program comprises four streams – creative writing, music, drama and visual arts and assists with individual recovery. The program, delivered in partnership with the University of Canberra, aims to improve confidence, well-being and resilience by demonstrating to participants that they are capable of learning new skills and able to adapt to different environments. It also aims to help remove the stigma associated with being wounded, injured or ill during service.
