As part of the Australian Government’s Pacific Step-Up, Defence is working with Fiji to redevelop the Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF). Blackrock Camp will be a regional hub for police and peacekeeping training and pre-deployment preparation. The redevelopment of Blackrock Camp includes a number of buildings, classroom facilities, a sports field and living-in accommodation. The project is currently in the early works phase, which involves perimeter fencing and preparing the site for main works.
